One Human. One Context.
Building the memory assistant we wished existed.
Our Mission
We believe everyone deserves a perfect memory. The ability to recall any conversation, any idea, any moment—without sacrificing your privacy to big tech companies.
That's why we built Zicron Memex: the privacy-first AI memory assistant that gives you superhuman recall while keeping your data truly yours.
Why We Built This
When Windows announced Recall, Apple announced Apple Intelligence, and Google announced Gemini Memory, we saw a disturbing pattern: the future of AI memory was being built by companies whose business model depends on harvesting your data.
We knew there had to be a better way.
The Name
Zicron Memex
Zicron (זכרון)
Hebrew for "memory" or "remembrance." It represents the deeply human aspect of what we're building—the preservation of your experiences, conversations, and ideas.
Memex
From Vannevar Bush's 1945 essay "As We May Think," where he imagined a device that would store all of a person's books, records, and communications with instant retrieval.
80 years later, we're finally making that vision a reality—with modern AI and a fierce commitment to privacy that Bush couldn't have anticipated we'd need.
Our Values
Privacy is Non-Negotiable
We don't just promise privacy—we architect for it. Local-first processing, end-to-end encryption, zero data mining. These aren't features; they're foundational principles.
You Own Your Data
Your memories belong to you. Export them anytime. Delete them permanently. We never claim ownership of your personal information.
Transparent and Auditable
Our cryptographic audit trail lets you verify every operation on your data. We believe in showing our work, not asking for blind trust.
Ship 90% Today
We favor pragmatic solutions over perfect ones. Boring, battle-tested technology over cutting-edge complexity. We ship fast and iterate based on real user feedback.
